I was struggling with a piece. It didn’t want to work, and I was getting frustrated. Eventually I just poured a massive amount of paint onto the canvas, in colors that I know works absolutely beautifully, and I blew it out.

And this flowing array of peaceful lines frayed in the most amazing colors and intricate lines, melting together the greens and purples.

And then my cat took a stroll through my studio….
